On White Tiger Ridge the White Bone Demon takes the shape of an old woman for the third time. Sun Wukong raises his staff as Tripitaka begins the spell.

The corpse demon takes three shapes—village girl, old man, old woman. Wukong sees through each and strikes it down. The third time the white bones show; Tripitaka still thinks an innocent was killed, recites the tightening spell, and sends Wukong back to the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit.
