How to create a story
NovelGPT is not a chatbot. You enter a famous scene, make a choice, generate another timeline, and save it.
1. Pick a famous scene
Open the library and enter Huarong Trail, the White Bone Demon, Jingyang Ridge, or Daiyu Burying Flowers. Starting copies the original opening into a timeline of your own. The original itself is not changed.
2. Read and decide
Each passage, first choose what happens in this scene, or type your own action; the hint follows the scene, such as “kill Cao Cao” at Huarong Trail or “call out Baoyu” while burying flowers. Tapping a choice only selects it. How this stretch is written is not another fork—it only chooses emphasis. Then set serial length and tap Generate the story, continue the timeline.
3. World state stays with you
Life, death, and settled facts are stored on this timeline. After Cao Cao dies, later passages cannot bring him back.
4. Go back and take another path
Return to a previous node and choose again. The old branch remains. The new choice forks a new timeline and does not overwrite what already happened.
5. View the tree, rewrite, and save
Timeline shows the fork tree and the text of the current path. Save it, and register so the stories stay with your account.
6. Read public timelines
The library and scene pages list public works. They are read-only. You can still start your own branch from the same scene.
