In one morning d'Artagnan has offended Athos, Porthos, and Aramis. At noon he is due to duel them in the convent garden.

D'Artagnan offends the three musketeers one after another and is due to duel them at noon. Before a winner is decided, the Cardinal's guards appear. The four fight side by side. The oath in the original begins in this garden.
