The Treasure Map

The Admiral Benbow Inn · After Pew has gone

After Blind Pew's visit, Billy Bones is dead. Jim faces the sea-chest: take the map, or leave it with the dead man.

Blind Pew leaves the black spot. Billy Bones dies of a stroke. Jim and his mother open the sea-chest and find Flint's map under the oilcloth. The voyage in the original starts from that scrap of parchment.
